AMPHORA WINERY

2004 SYRAH, Mounts Vineyard, Dry Creek Valley

In pursuit of balance and harmony, Amphora wines are skillfully blended to produce rich, elegant, fruit-forward wines that truly are works of art.  Rick works to find the best rootstock on which to graft the perfect clone, matching it with the unique soil profile of the Dry Creek Valley Appellation.

This single vineyard Syrah comes from Mounts Vineyard, located on the west side of Dry Creek Valley. Rich blueberry and blackberry aromas lilt on the nose and follow through on the palate. With 95% Syrah and 5% Petite Syrah, this wine was aged in new and 1 year old French Oak and is delicious!

“A barrel sample of the 2004 Syrah Mounts Vineyard (which includes 5% Petite Sirah) reveals plenty of character and richness as well as a certain elegance, earthiness, and smoky cassis flavors. A pleasant, mid-weight Syrah to enjoy during its first 3-4 years of life.”

BJORNSTAD CELLARS

2006 PINOT NOIR, Hellenthal Vineyard

With the launch of his own label, Greg Bjornstad is delighted to present limited production, hand crafted, vineyard designated wines, such as the highly acclaimed Hellenthal Vineyard Pinot Noir.

From the grapes’ arrival at the winery up until to today’s tasting, the impression is the same; “chocolate covered cherries”. This deeply colored wine has a smooth, rich texture owing to a fully developed tannin structure and 11 months of aging. Flavors follow the aromas with it’s fruit forward core and layers of licorice, mineral and East Indian spices culminating in a very long velvety finish.  This wine will sell out quickly so get yours before it’s gone!

"The aromatics of this dense ruby-colored Pinot Noir Hellenthal Vineyard bring to mind an Indonesian market. Spicy, sweet cherry, and chocolaty aromas are followed by a powerful, full-bodied, harmonious, sexy Pinot to enjoy over the next 5-6 years”

BUONCRISTIANI FAMILY WINERY

2003 O.P.C. Napa Valley CLARET

BACK BY POPULAR DEMANDSo many of you loved (and reordered) this wine from a prior vintage that we proudly offer it again!

The Buoncristiani brothers take pride in performing all aspects of enology, viticulture, production

and art design in order to share with you a true expression of our winemaking passion. Our motto is ‘quality not quantity’ and we craft our wines without compromise. Handcrafting limited production wines allows for the utmost attention to detail of every gallon in each barrel.   A blend of 36% Cab. Sauv., 34% Syrah, 17% Merlot, 13% Malbec, the wine was aged 20 months in French Oak barrels.

The 2003 O.P.C. is our Napa Valley proprietary red blend. The wine is comprised of about twenty small block sources from some of Napa’s most prestigious vineyards including Hyde, Stagecoach, Caldwell, and Bennett. Hedonistic aromas of black cherry, baker's chocolate, and blueberry lead to a sexy-fleshy mid palate of juicy blackberry and earthy, exotic spices with a velvety smooth finish that lasts more than 40 seconds!

BATTAGLINI ESTATE WINERY

2003 Proprietor's Reserve – Estate Bottled ZINFANDEL

Battaglini Estate Winery is a small, family-run winery located in the heart of one of California's fertile wine producing regions. Our vineyards are located in the Russian River Valley of Sonoma County.

The 2003 Proprietors Reserve Zinfandel is representative of a great vintage. Dark purple with an aromatic profile of fresh blackberry, boysenberry and raspberry sorbet, underlaid with a hint of white pepper.  The intense flavor shows the depth and complexity that comes from ripe fruit.

We are very proud of the wines that we are producing.  Our over 120 year-old vines (planted in 1885) produce fruit that gives the wine depth and complexity.  100% Zinfandel aged for 20-24 months prior to release.  The result is a delicious, rich and fruity wine that has earned several awards, including a prestigious Double Gold medal at the San Francisco Chronicle International Wine Competition.

LAIRD FAMILY ESTATE

2004 Cold Creek Ranch CHARDONNAY

The Laird Cold Creek Ranch lies on the Sonoma side of the Carneros District.  Carneros has long been known as one of the world’s premier Chardonnay producing areas.  This extraordinary vineyard is surrounded by the cooling breezes of the San Pablo Bay.

Consulting winemaker Paul Hobbs has crafted wines that draw attention to detail. They ask to be savored slowly so the inherent intricacies of each wine may be recognized. They are not of overwhelming fruit immensity but wines of elegance and polish, reflective of their origins.   This 100% Chardonnay was aged 15 months in mostly new French Oak barrels.  Another beautiful masterpiece from Paul Hobbs!

Complex aromas of fragrant white flowers, grapefruit, honey and melon entice you to taste this wine. Spicy apple, tropical and citrus flavors are well integrated with the nuances of oak aging. The wine’s creamy character is balanced with firm acidity.

Appellation: Sonoma, Carneros    Production: 298 cases

Winemaker:  Paul Hobbs     Alcohol:  14.6%

ROBERT NENOW WINERY

2004 CABERNET SAUVIGNON, Kenefick Ranch, Napa Valley

Robert Nenow Winery is a small Napa Valley wine producer.  We are proud to be a member of the Behrens and Hitchcock family of fine winemakers.  It was easy to fall in love with making wine with my brother in law, Les Behrens, and Lisa Drinkward while working harvests at the beautiful Behrens and Hitchcock Winery.

Created from Bordeaux varietals, this Cabernet Sauvignon includes a small blending of Cabernet Franc 8%, Merlot 7% and Petit Verdot 3%.  Deep ruby-purple in color the wine offers aromas of cedar and spice.  Flavors of blueberry and plum are complimented with notes of pepper and earthiness.  The creamy mouthfeel is balanced by a nice structure of acid and soft integrated tannins.

“This deep ruby-hued 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon Kenefick Ranch possesses moderate tannin, sweet black currant fruit intermixed with a hint of smoke, medium body, and silky tannin.  It will provide attractive drinking during its first 10-12 years of life. “
